How about configuring your server with the OS on a RAID1 and DATA Storage on RAID5. RAID1 writes at the same time, on two different disc, since it’s the OS, writes only once, and sits and waits for disc0 to fail. My experiance is often the OS will corrupt, leaving the data, fail safe to the mirrored drive, replace reboot rebuild. Rarely both drives would fail at the same time. If a DATA drive fails, (RAID5), pull bad drive, system rebuilds the data, your off to the races. If everything fails, rebuild from your full backup.
